Baptists To Hear
- Missions Study
Baptists of the area will have a uni-
que opportunity to hear the annual
Foreign Mission Study "Nigeria -
Heritage and Hope" taught by Mrs.
Betty Merritt, a former missionary to
Nigeria, December 3, at the Berryville
(Va.) Baptist Church, Berryville. The
study will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
with a Nigerian lunch being served. A
nursery will be provided.
Mrs. Merritt was born in Louisville,
Ky., grew up in Mississippi, graduated
from Mississippi College, Clinton,
Miss., and New Orleans Baptist
Theological Seminary. She served
with her husband in Nigeria from
1956-76, and became Baptist
women/Baptist young women consul-
tant for the Virginia WMU May 1.
Presently she lives in Richmond
where her husband works for the
Foreign Mission Board.
This study is sponsored by the
Shenandoah Baptist Associational
Woman's Missionary Union.
