SUPPORT GROUP
The" Alzheimer's Disease jSupport
Group of the Nursing Home Care Unit
at the VA Medical Center in Mar-
tinsburg recently distributed informa-
tion in the main lobby of the hospital
to friends, families and other center
visitors, this in accordance with the
Presidential proclamation making
November Alzheimer's Disease
Month•
The materials explained the disease
and gave resources leading to
assistance in treating the disease.
Formed in May, 1983, this Support
Group on Alzheimer's meets monthly
to provide ongoing support and infor-
mation to the families of patients with
the disease and to provide emotional
support for each of the participants.
Membership in the support group is
open to any veteran and his family
who have experienced Alzheimer's
Disease. Interested persons should
contact Mrs. Susan Marklin, social
worker, at the VA Nursing Home Care
