According to Rahn, he first met John Yoder nearly 15 years ago when Yoder was a student studying economics at the University of Chicago. Rahn stated that he had read an article that John Yoder had written on economics in a magazine at that time, that he was im- pressed by it, and had contacted Yoder to discuss it. Among the 50 people attending the dinner were John Raese from Morgan- to%, Delegate John Overington from Jefferson County, and Delegate Larry Faircloth from Berkeley County. Yoder, a resident of Harper's Ferry, is running for the state senate seat be- ing vacated by Vernon Whitacre, who is retiring• Yoder's opponent, Thomas Hawse from Moorefield, currently serves as a state delegate for Pendleton and Hardy Counties.
