agreed to spearhead a community
sale and chicken barbecue on
October 21. The sale will be held
from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The
chicken barbecue will start at 11:00
a.m. and run until it is gone! Clay
Horton is unable to cook this time,
but will have his grill there. Marcia
will need some help that day, so

Lots of work has been done by the
Civic Association and private con-
tractors this past week. What a
pleasure to drive in the entrance on

I had a nice telephone visit with
Theresa Ainsworth last week. We
haven't seen too much of Theresa
this summer and I suppose she may
have felt a little bit guilty about not
bringing me brownies all summer, so
she baked us a big chocolate cake,
