got a little too free with a 7-mm
rifle whieh he had and it got him
into a peck of trotrble Thursday
August 27 at his home.

State Police detachment Were call
ed to the scene they ~ook Haines
into custody and Chafg~ed him
~i~h brandising a dangerous wea-
pon without a state license, ob-
structing an officer.
At a hearing before Justice of
the Peaee E. W. Day in Charles
Town, he was found guilty of
obstructing an officer, brandish-
ing a dangerous weapon. He was
fined $100 and costs and given 30
days in t~ Jefferson County jail
on the brandishing charge and
was ordered held for action of
the gran~ jury on the obstructing
charge, uona was set at $1,000.
Judge Day said he dismissed the
carrying of a dangerous weapon
charge against Haines because he
was on his own property at the
time.
