Edward Lacey Burns IV Edward Lacey Bums IV, 65, of Harpers Ferry, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at Jefferson Me- morial Hos- pital. Born Aug. 12, 1946 in Washington, D.C h.e was the son of the late Ed- ward Lac- ey Bums Ill and Alma Marie St. Francis Burns. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He had previously been em- ployed as a police officer in Peo- ria, II1 where he was also a ma- chinist for Caterpillar. He worked for the U.S. Government as a medical equipment specialist at Walter Reed Medical Center and as an electrician and emergency generator specialist for the NIH. He was also a NICET fire and emergency alarm specialist for the Department of State, retired, and active in Jefferson County planning and political action. He was a member of Charles Town Moose Lodge No 948, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 1136 in Brunswick, Md. and Logan Lodge No. 25 AF&AM in Harpers Ferry. He is survi~,ed by his loving wife of 20 years, Ros Rutledge- Bums, at home; one son, Ed- ward "Toby" Bums V and wife, Andrea, of San Clemente, Calif.; three granddaughters one god- daughter, and numerous in-laws, nieces, one nephew, friends and relatives. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Eack- les-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home where Logan Lodge will conduct a Masonic service. Vis- itation will be one hour prior to service. William 'Bill' Ellard Dunn William "Bill" Ellard Dunn, 77, Of Charles Town, died Tues- day, July 17, 2012 at his resi- dence. Born July 11, 1935 in Harp- ers Ferry, he was the son of the late Ellard Lloyd Dunn and Edith Whitmore Dunn. He was of the Baptist faith, and a veteran of the US Army. He was a retired welder for Canam Steel. He was a member of the Loy- al Order of the Moose Lodge No. 948 of Charles Town. He is survived by two daugh- ters: Kathy Warden, of Ranson and Donna Smoot and husband, John, of Charles Town; two step-children: Dennis Talton and wife, Barbara, of Renick and Sandra Bently, of Charles Town; three brothers: Charles, Robert and Gary Dunn; one sis- ter: Shirley Jenkins, and four grandchildren.
