We are pulled to the sea as surely as the tide rises and falls. Perhaps to some, the sea is the nearest we will approach to the might of the Creator. Our need to behold this l overt power can be reassuring a memory to recall when we feel weak and alone during the storms of life. God's Holy Word reveals this Psalm 29:3 declares, "The voice of the Lord is upon the waters." Eccl. 1:7 marvels "All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full." How deep and how endless is our Heavenly Father's love for us! God can help us through the worst catastrophe when we believe in His omnipotence. As we are drawn to the sea, may we be drawn to worship at our local church or synagogue each week so that God's might will remain fresh in our heart and mind the year through.
