The 23rd Regiment of Foot was originally raised in 1689 by William III. Coming first to America in 1773, the unit par-i ticipated in all major campaigns of the American Revolution' exclusive of Burgoyne's cam- paign. The bulk of the Regiment was surrendered at Yorktown and returned to England in 1784. Fort Frederick State Park is located 18 miles of Hagerstown, Md., just off 1-70 at Route 56, Big Pool, Md. Funds raised from the Bike-A- Then will go towards improved research and care programs for children affected by Cystic Fibrosis and various other lung- damaging diseases. Presently, approximately one out of every 1,500 babies born are C-F victims. And worst of all, this dreadful disease is still incurable. C-F is an inherited disease, which occurs when both-parents carry the recessive gene which causes it. One .in every twenty persons, or ten million Americans are carriers of the C- F gene without even knowing it. Current research funded by the Foundation is seeking a cure or control for the disease; as well as a practical test to determine these carriers. Because of the tremendous progress made through our research efforts many C-F children now live to see their late teens or early twenties. Whereas just several years ago children with C-F rarely lived past three years of age. But, even with the tremendous progress being made every day, the realistic number of lung- damaged children who struggle to breathe continues to grow. And with it the need for more volunteers and funds. , STP . ..... KODACOLOR SHOE:PAK "'''' :' 15,OOOmile' l FILM . Shoe Storage Boxes POLAROID ... SX-70 FILM MOTOR OIL il .> N0.
