Consumer Product Sfety leader backs his agency Farmers Asked To Certify Crop Acres All Jefferson County farmers are asked to certify their 1978 planted acreage, set-aside, diversion and other program acreages with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service ASCS, office, Michael P. Siep&iewicz, Director of the Jefferson County ASCS office said. "Certification is the procedure by which farmers report their 1978 program acreages as ac- curately as possible to insure their eligibility for receiving the benefits-of price support and disaster, deficiency, diversion, [ or grazing and haying payments," Mike said. August 1 is the final cer- tification dates for corn, grain sorghum, set aside acres, and other NCA crops.
