YOI:NG 'Mrs. Josephine Myers Young of Frederick, Md. died in Frederick, I Md. Memorial hospital on Monday ] daughter of Alvie E. Myers of Frederick and the late Nanme Wy ndham :Myers, the iatter of Char- les Tow,']. Her husband Edward Young and her father are the .only stlrvivors. Dictating, Transcribing Unit Purchased From Hospital Memorial Fund Donors to the Memorial Fund of the Jefferson Coun,ty Hospital Auxiliary have again made possib le the purchase of an impor,tant and necessary facility for the Charles Town Hospital. A dicta,tins and trans,cribing unit at a cost of $604.16 has been purchased from t~he Memorial Fund treasury and is in use at the 'hos,pital. In Vhe process of becoming an accredited hospital, medical re- cords must be kept on all patien,ts therefore certain equipment is needed. This equipment will be o.f great assis,tanee to members of the Medical Staff in their co mbin ed efforts wi,th the Hospital Board of Managers to become an ac- credited hospi,tal. The hospi'tal Auxiliary Memor- ial Fund with Mrs. D. K. Koonce as current treasurer has been in existence since January, 1949. In ten yeares, approxima,tely $8,000 has been used from the fund to purchase facilities for t,he hospi,t- al. Many persons have made th~s Possible through t'heir gifts of money honoring .the memory 04 deceased loved ones. Mrs. Koonee st,a, ted bha,t the fund now averages over $100 men thly in gifts.
