Interment was in Rose Hill Cem etery there. MRS. HENRY L. TIIARP Mrs. Emma Davis Tharp, wife of Henry L. Tharp of Ridgeway, died Saturday at 5:15 p. m. in the Maplewood Nursing Home in Win chester, Vs. following an illness of two years. A native of Jefferson County, she was born on August 24, 1882, a daughter of the late B. F. and Elizabeth Bennett. She was a life-long member of Paynes Chapel Methodist Church and a~ active member of the W. S. C. S. of the Church. Stuwiving are: ~er husband, whom she married on Oct. 2, 1901 in Hagerstown, Md., at home; four sons-Ernest F. and Roland L. Tharp, Stephenson, Va.; Floyd N. Tharp, Martinsburg; Garland D. Tharp, Washington, D. C.; and three daughters-Mrs. Earl Brown, Winchester, Va.; ~Mrs. Marvin Shi- ley, Martinsburg; Mrs. Howard Bowers, Hagerstown, Md.; sister, Mrs. Thomas Finnegan, Ridge- way; brother, Clarence Bennett, Kearneysville; 15 grandchildren: and 17 great-grandchildren.
