Va., on Thursday, May 25. 1978, in the Council Room at 105 S. George St., with polls opening at 7:00 a.m. and closing at 7:00 p.m. (DST) for the purpose of electing a mayor and four council members for two-year terms. Master of Charles Town has proclaimed May as High Blood Pressure Month in Jefferson County. Mayor Master proclaimed the month in the presence of Bob Ott, president of the Jefferson County Heart Association. The proclamation noted that an estimated 179,400 citizens in the state have high blood pressure, and over one-half of them are unaware that they have this disease while only one- eighth of them receive adequate treatment.
