May 4-2t NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS OF THE POTOMAC EDISON COMPANY WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION CASE NO. 9138 The Public Service Com- mission of West Virginia will bold a public hearing in the Circuit Court Room, 2nd floor, Berkeley County Court House Martinsburg, West Virginia, on Thursday, May 11, 1978, beginning at 9:30 a.m. for the. purpose of receiving customer comments on The Potomac Edison Company's proposed rate increase. The Potomac Edison Com- pany applied for a permanent increase in electric_ rates on November 18, 1977 d the ap- plication is now under con- sideration by the Public Service Commission. The proposed increase has been suspended pending action by the Com- mission. The request amounts to about 23 percent increase in total revenues for the test year being used in the case. The percentage increase for individual customers would vary by usage and by rate schedule. Copies of the proposed schedules and materials sup- porting the increase are available for inspection during regular business hours at the Company's offices in West Virginia. Statements received in Martinsburg will be part of the record upon which the Com- mission bases its decision.
