Va, LL After a delay of several months due to the sold and snow~ weather which has prevailed, Merchant-Noland, Charles Town's Chevrolet~Oldsmobile Agency, located on the Eastern Edge ol Charles Town on U. S. Route 340, is now ready to show off it's brand new and most attractive modern home. And Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 21, 22 and 23 are the dates that have been set by Preston Merchant and Donald Noland, owners and operators of the car agency. And to show off the new headquarters in proper and fitting style, elaborate plans have been made for a "Grand Opening" celebration on those three days, with the public being invited and urged to come and see this new, lovely blue Pruden, all-steed, pre-fabricated structure erected on two acres of land which was a part of some 79.f acres of land originally designated as the site for the "Shen. andoah Plaza Shopping Center." The Merchant-Noland Agency moved into this new and spacious home about the middle of January and is now full~ established there and ready to provide the general public with all types of automotive service. In addition to Merchant and Noland, other members of the agency's staff are: Mesdames Merchant and Noland, the com. any bookkeepers; Hugh Via, Russell Mays, Clay McCormick who make up the sales staff; James Andrews, service manager; Tommy Wilt, parts manager; Joe Michael, Ted Sine. Bob Kershner, Pete Peterson, Johnny Seal, Wayne Hough and Thomas Hopewell, who make up the mechanical staff. Merchant and Noland have 1been in the automobile business together since 1959 with Junior Wagner, formerly of Charles Town, now Martinsburg, having at that time also been a part o! the business. In 1961 Wagner sold his interest in the business to Merchant and Noland and opened his ear agency in Mar. tinsburg.
