This meeting will be Wednesday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Clarence Hamilton in Leetown. 120 Enjoyed 8081 Annivemry Baptist Missionary Union On Monday evening, March 27th, approximately 120 members and guests enjoyed the 80th anniversary celebration of the Women's Missionary Union of Charles Town Baptist Church. The W.M.U. was begun at the church by Mrs. L. R. Milbourne and ten other ladies in March 1898. There were many guests from various parts of Virginia & West Virginia including the guest speaker, Mrs. W. Peyton Thurman, President of the Virginia Women's Missionary Union. The evening began with a bountiful covered dish dinner which was followed by a musical program and some hilarious reminiscences by Miss Lucile Webster. The musical portion of the program was provided by Mrs. DuaneReiter, Choir Director, singing a solo; Miss Judy Wilt and Mr. Dean Coyle; The Martin Family (Mr. & Mrs. Willard Martin, Mr. Michael Martin and Mr. & Mrs. Dean Coyle) and about 30 members of the Youth Alive! singing and instrumental group of the church. Later a reception was held and punch and cake was served. The park's primary need at this time is for volun- teem to work in the Living History and Visitor Information programs. This includes work in the various historic blaildings, the Visitor Center, Kiosk and possibly leading walks or giving demonstrations. Volunteers serve without pay compensation is allowed for meals and travel. The VIP program does provide excellent work experience, and gives opportunities to assist in relating elements of our historical heritage to the American people, as well as many foreign visitors. Leukemia Society To Hold Dance April 8 The Berkeley County Chapter of the National Leukemia Society is hosting a dance Saturday night April 8th from eight to midnight at the old Martinsburg High School Gymnasium. The dance will feature the Hagerstown Variety Band, 'The Choosen Few,' which has donated their services free of charge to the local Chapter. Tickets arc only $1.5o and are available at the door. There will he refreshments and prizes at the dance. Local personalities will also attend the function. PreNatal Classes To Be Offered At Jefferson Hospital Free Prenatal classes are being offered at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The first session will be at 7 p.m. April 26. There will he six classes in the course of 1'/2 hours each, every Wednesday evening from April 26 to May 31. These classes are for all ex- pectant mothers and fathers.
