Charlie" Will Be Next n Of Old Opera House; Angel Is Director Show Opera House in nnounces its next Charlie", the author of ear Itch" Starring are local Wheeler and bry of playboy who is jealous husband. Charlie 'Barbara Wheeler' astounds his-her best friend George Tracy, 'Steve Hoopor', by showing up minutes after his- her memorial service as a beautiful woman. The comedy continues as a 38 year old bachelor has to give up his old habits and learn to make it in the world as a lady. Also featured in Goodbye Charlie are Jenny Corbin, Ken Bethany, Willie Barns, Gary Moore and Pat Burhans. Goodbye Charlie is being directed by Robert Angel, shown above, the managing director of the Old Opera House. Born and raised in New Mexico, Bob has been involved in theatre since his high school days. His first venture into professional show business was in 1947, when he appeared in "Ride a Big Horse" with Robert Mon- tgomery. Angel continued his career in New Mexico working a few more movies and summer stock with such notables as Ann Lee and Jack Webb. In 1951, Bob went to Hollywood. "I was mostly in westerns", Bob summarized his movie and TV career. "I was a cowboy and an Indian, usually an Indian". Bob's movie and TV credits include: Man from Laramie, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, Seven Thieves, The Professionals, Bonanza, Lorado, and Combat". Bob has worked on stage, screen television, radio and was even a stunt man. Before he left Hollywood, Bob was assistant director of the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Bob first became actively involved in civic theatre in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then became director of San Angelo, Texas, Civic Theatre. The Opera House auditorium has been in use since 1976 when "My Fair Lady" played to a sell-out crowd for four consecutive nights.
