Committee chairpersons appointed to organize various county 4-H ac- tivities are: Cindy Togans, 4-H Talent Contest; Susan Zigler, County Visual Presentation and Public Speaking Contest; Peggy Talley, Fair Catalog; Phyllis Grantham, Hot Dog Stand; Denny Barton, Tri-County Camp and Leaders Conference; Jim Staley, Health and Field Day; Eileen Chambers, Fair Exhibit Area; Linda Osbourn, 4-H Sunday; Sally Ware, County Awards: Linda Magaha, Achievement Night Refreshments; Annabel Osbourn, Fund Raising; and Gall Mickey, Sewing. County 4-H'ers The goal of many Jefferson County 4-H club members is to compete in the State 4-H Round-Up in August at Jackson's Mill, the State 4-H Camp near Weston. " In preparation for the state event, Jefferson County will conduct a Coun- ty 4-H Talent Contest on Tuesday even- ing, March 12, 7:00 p.m at Jefferson High School. 4-H'ers wishing to enter must register with their local 4-H leader before March 4. Junior division partidpants must not have reached their 14th birthday by December 31, 1984. Senior division age is 14 and up. Talent categories are instumental solo and group, piano solo and group, vocal solo and group, dramatic novelty solo and group, baton solo and group and general. All talent acts are)imited to no more than five minutes. On Tuesday, March 26, 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson High School, the County 4-H Visual Presentation and County 4-H Public Speaking Contests will be con- ducted. Division ages are the same for talent, and participants need to register with their local 4-H leader by March 15. Visual presentations may be given on any 4-H project area plus health and safety.
