Pizza and live music at Asbury Feb. 25 Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town will host "Da- vid's Heart Band" on Saturday, Feb. 25. This new local contemporary Christian band will perform a mix of traditional songs, current contempo- rary favorites and some of their own musical styling. The event will be- gin at 6 pan. with fellowship, piz- za and drinks in Williams Hall fol- lowed by the show at 7 pan. Pancake breakfast fundraiser Feb. 25 Kabletown United. Methodist Church will be having a pancake fundraiser breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7 aan. to 11 aan. The menu will include pancakes, sau- sage gravy, scrambled eggs, sau- sage, fried potatoes, coffee, orange juice, iced tea and milk. Minimum donation of $7; Children under 12 years $3; Carry-outs $7. Service of Christian Unity March 4 A service of Christian Unity will be held Sunday, March 4 at 3 pan. at Saint James Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Dr., Charles Town. Hymn sing Feb. 25 The Millville Pentecostal Church, 226 Millville Road, Mill- ville, will host a hymn sing Sat- urday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. featuring local singers and musicians. Ev- eryone is welcome. A free-will offering will be received. Easter week activities at Trinity Episcopal A Seder Dinner will be held on Maundy Thursday, April 5, at Trinity Episcopal Church, cor- ner of Church and German St. in Shepherdstown, beginning at 6 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $10 per person. Following the Seder Dinner, there will be a service of Holy Eu- charist and The Stripping of the Al- tar at 8 pan. The Maundy Thursday through Good Friday vigil will start at the end of the service Thursday evening and continue until noon on Good Friday with the Prayer Book Liturgy being held at noon. The church will be open all day on Good Friday for prayer. The church will have an Easter eve service beginning at 5 p.m. on April 7. Easter Day services are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. with Holy Eu- charist, a sermon and Flower- ing of the Cross at each service. There will be an Easter egg hunt following the 10 a.m. service. Beginning on Thursday, March 1, a five week Lenten series will concentrate on the Book of Com- mon Prayer. The sessions will con- tinue weekly through March 29. Each evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a soup and salad dinner. The program begins at 7 pan. and will be followed by Holy Eucharist with the opportunity for Laying on of the Hands for Healing at 8 pan. It is up to the congregation to band together and through music and God's guidance save the church and themselves. Hot dogs, chips, popcorn and soda will be served.
