T - r Shirley Hunt, for years one of Jefferson County's most outstandi ing civic and community leaders l prior to moving to Lakeland, Fla., i several years ago, was in Charles Town from Jan. 3 until Jan, 6 in connection with the death of his brother, Cary Franklin Hunt On returning to Lakeland his parents Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hunt accom panied him there for a visit. While Mr. Hunt returned here this week, Mrs' Hunt is staying there for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Grayson Elsea of Luray, Virginia spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Fleming and attended the Lions Club dinner and dance. Mrs. Kent Keene of Baltimore, Maryland, visited Mrs. Harry F. Burns, Flowing Spi~ing Road and ,Mr~ John C. Skinner, Lawrence Street, the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. James J. Smith Jr. of Kratz Trailer Court, Char- les Town, are the proud parents of a daughter, Kathryn Lane, born January 1, 1966 in the Char- les Town General Hospital. Mrs. Smith is the former Miss Eliza- beth Lorriane Farmer, daughter of Phyllis B. Farmer of Balti- more, Maryland. They also have another daughter Tammy Lynne.
